Route 11/660 roundabout Smyth County

Public meeting set for proposed roundabout at the intersection of Routes 11 and 660 in Smyth County

BRISTOL—This month, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a design public meeting for a proposed roundabout at the intersection of Routes 11 and 660 in Smyth County.

The open house format public meeting will take place Tuesday, October 24 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Oak Point Elementary School, located at 138 Oak Point Drive. The project website includes materials that will be available at the public hearing: https://www.publicinput.com/k6421.

The project will enhance safety by constructing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Routes 11 and 660. The project includes installing new guardrail on the northeast and southeast sections of the roundabout. The driveway to Adwolfe Road from the property located in the southwest quadrant will be converted to a right-in/right-out access driveway to restrict left turns.
